Alright, listen up, volleyball fam! Bulgaria just pulled a whole uno reverse card on Serbia, the actual reigning World Champions. They went head-to-head in Ottawa, and it was a whole rollercoaster. Bulgaria snatched the second and third sets, but Serbia wasn't playing, snatching the first and fourth sets. The fifth set? Omg, it was so close, but Bulgaria said "not today" and won 17:15. I cant even.

Major shoutout to Mikaela Stoyanova, who was serving looks AND points with 18 total, Elitsa Atanasijevic slayed too with 15 points, and Nasya Dimitrova wasn't lagging either with 11 points. Serbia's Aleksandra Uzelac went off with 23 points, and Hena Kurtagic added 15, but it wasn't enough, sadly.

This dub is HUGE for Bulgaria. It's their first W against Serbia since way back in 2019! After this, Bulgaria's sitting pretty at 7th place in the standings with 6 points. Serbia, though? Kiera Van Ryk went hard for Canada with 13 points, and Hilary Johnson chipped in nine, but it wasn't enough to overcome Japan's momentum.
