TL:DR

Yo, so last week in Banff, mad rocks just fell out of nowhere. Two peeps didn't make it, one dude's in the hospital, but chillin'. Parks Canada said it was just nature being nature, so no cap on that. Trail's closed, so don't even think about it.

The Deets

Okay, fam, listen up. Last week in Banff National Park, straight up rocks started tumbling down at Bow Glacier Falls. Like, imagine just vibing and then BAM, rocks everywhere. Two people got caught in it and sadly passed away. One of them was Hamza Benhilal, 33, and the other was Jutta Hinrichs, a 70-year-old professor.

Khaled Elgamal, who was with Hamza, survived but he's in the hospital right now, healing up. He said Hamza was like his big bro, and even warned him to run right before it happened. Khaled's saying Hamza lowkey saved his life, which is both wholesome and heart-wrenching, fr. They were just tryna enjoy their vacay, hiking and stuff, when this wild stuff went down.

Parks Canada is saying that this rockfall was just a geological thing. They said it was unavoidable, so don't even try to blame anyone, it's just nature doing its thing. Also, that area around Bow Glacier Falls is gonna be closed for a while, so don't even think about going. Hamza's fam is on their way to make funeral plans. Sending mad respect and condolences to them, no cap.

Also, side note, there's a heat wave happening! Highs are gonna be in the 30s, feeling like 40-45 with the humidity. Stay hydrated and look out for each other, especially the elderly and vulnerable peeps. Stay safe out there!
