Yo, what is up with the world? A massive landslide just yeeted a house into oblivion in Sainte-Monique, Quebec, like it was nothing. The owner’s prob like "WTF, man?"

But here's the real L: his insurance is saying "hard pass" 'cause apparently, they can't even begin to guess the probability of landslides, so they don't cover that kinda cap. It's giving "we don't care".

So, now there's a GoFundMe popping off to try and get him back on his feet 'cause he lost everything. But fr tho, the Quebec government might chip in with some cash through the "Programme général d’assistance financière lors de sinistres" (PGAF) - say that 5 times fast. Apparently, you can get up to $385,000 for the crib and driveway damage.

Turns out, Canada gets a lot of these landslides, like 150 to 300 investigations every year! Most of them happen in Quebec, in the St. Lawrence Valley, the Ottawa Valley, and the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, all the usual haunts. And with climate change making the rain dummy thicc, landslides are about to be our new normal, supposedly its going up 15% in the St. Lawrence Valley.
