TL:DR

Madness in Vancouver, fam. Car just rolled up to the Lapu Lapu Day Block Party on E. 41st and Fraser and plowed into the crowd. People dead and injured, driver's been snatched up by the cops. Sh*t's wack, and everyone's sending good vibes to the victims and their families.

The Tea is Spilled

Okay, so boom. Last night in Vancouver, things took a major L. This driver, right, decided to turn the Lapu Lapu Day festival – that's a celebration for the Philippines' first national hero, btw – into a demolition derby. Car went full send into the crowd at E. 41st and Fraser around 8 pm local time. Not the vibe, at all.

We're talking multiple people dead and a bunch more injured. Like, a straight-up tragedy. The driver's in custody, but the cops ain't saying yet if this was some intentional attack or just a major screw-up. Sus, either way.

The Vancouver Police confirmed the sitch, and everyone from local government peeps to Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mayor Ken Sim are throwing out condolences and support. A member of parliament from Vancouver Kingsway is sending prayers. It's a whole mess, and everyone's feeling it hard.

FYI, they said that one of the eyewitnesses said the driver looked like a young Asian dude. But until the police drop the official deets, we should wait to see, no cap!

This is all happening a year after some other dude got life in prison for pulling the same kinda stunt. Heavy stuff. Keep Vancouver in your thoughts, y'all.
