Yo, check it. The Bowness Ratepayers Scout and Guide Hall Association – yeah, the spot where they throw events and rent out space – just got hit with a major L. Turns out, they were allegedly robbed of over $66,000. Like, that's a whole lotta ramen, fam.

So, two guys named Nathan Michael Mizera (41) and Joshua Tyler Bredo (40), both from Calgary, are being charged with fraud over $5,000. Apparently, these guys rolled up offering to help with branding and events, but allegedly, they were moving mad. Sources say they took over the whole operation, with one even tryna be the general manager without the green light.

Here's where it gets wild. The alleged scam went down between 2022 and 2024. These dudes are accused of cooking up fake documents, receipts, and even using fake email addresses to funnel the cash into their personal accounts. That's straight-up sus. The po-po were called in April 2024 after the missing funds were found and did a whole investigation.

But here's the tea: Mizera and Bredo dropped a statement saying they're innocent and are pointing fingers back at the police, claiming corruption. Joshua Tyler Bredo has also been in the news previously for manslaughter in BC.

They gotta show up in court on August 6th, so things are about to get spicy. The authorities are asking if anyone knows anything about this or similar capers to hit them up.
