Okay, so peep this: people in Whistler are out here doing the most. Like, straight-up stopping their cars on the Sea to Sky highway – a BUSY highway, mind you – to get up close and personal with a black bear and her cubs. 🤦‍♀️ Can you even?

The locals are fuming, and honestly, same. It's dangerous AF to just stop on a highway like that. Plus, why would you roll up on a mama bear and her babies? That's just asking for trouble. One person even clapped back to what people were doing: "Bears are not tourist attractions, fam! You just gotta leave them alone!"

Conservation officers are keeping tabs on a black bear and three yearlings hanging around the Valley Trail area. And word is, if you're caught feeding or tryna lure these wild animals, you could be hit with a fat fine – up to $100,000! – or even do some time behind bars. No cap, the Ministry of Environment is dead serious about this. In fact, some places already banned this kinda cap behavior back in '19 near Jasper, where there were a lot of bears.

Bottom line: admire from a distance, people. Don't be that person risking it all for a clout pic. Keep it moving, keep it safe, and let the bears live their best lives.
