Listen up, fam. This story is wild. So, this dude, Mike Stuber, in Barrhead, Alberta, was just living his life when his neighbor was like, "Yo, I think some peeps are tryna steal my stuff." Mike, being a real one, was like, "Say less," and went to check it out around 9 a.m. on June 13.
Turns out, these thieves were straight-up TRYNA break into a vehicle at the neighbor's property. They rolled up in a Ford F-350, looking all kinds of shady. Mike, thinking quick, started snapping pics, probably to expose them later on the 'gram. But these criminals weren't having it. They pulled out a rifle WITH A SCOPE (!!), shot at him, and then, for the grand finale, RAN HIM OVER! Can you even?!
Mike's leg is now broken in FIVE places. But here's the crazy part: after getting shot at and run over, he drove himself to the hospital! Talk about a savage. He had surgery in Grand Prairie and is now recovering. Big W for surviving, but major L for the leg situation.
The RCMP (that's Royal Canadian Mounted Police, BTW) eventually found the thieves' truck south of Lac La Nonne, but the actual thieves are still MIA. They're out here playing hide-and-seek, which is definitely not the vibe. Mike and his son are now speaking out, saying that rural crime is becoming a big yikes, and something needs to change.
The cops are telling everyone to lock up their stuff, install cameras, and basically, don't be a hero like Mike. While his intentions were good, maybe calling the authorities would have been the move. Stay safe out there, fam!
