Okay, so listen up, fam. B.C.'s first heat wave of the season is hitting different, and not in a good way. We're talking about a dozen-plus daily heat records just straight-up demolished. Lytton was on fire, hitting 39.3 C, which is kinda wild considering the old record was 38.5 C. Kamloops wasn't playing either, clocking in at 37 C.

But wait, there's more! Cache Creek was sitting pretty at 38.6 C, and even Abbotsford broke a record from way back in 1955, hitting 31 C. Pitt Meadows went even further back, breaking a record from 1903 with 32.3 C. Whistler and Squamish were also feeling the heat, hitting 31.9 C and 31.6 C respectively. And Pemberton? 36.7 C. Sheesh!

And it's not just those spots. Chetwynd, Clinton, the Malahat area, Nanaimo, Princeton, Qualicum Beach, and Williams Lake all joined the record-breaking party. Environment Canada's basically saying, "It's gonna be a scorcher, stay safe out there."

The good news? Things are supposed to cool down in the Lower Mainland on Tuesday. The not-so-good news? Howe Sound, Whistler, Pemberton, and the inside scoop spots of Vancouver Island are still gonna be simmering. So, yeah, stay frosty, fam. This heat wave is doing the most.
