Why the protest? They're calling out the provincial government for allegedly not holding Amazon accountable for all the layoffs that have been happening. Apparently, seven warehouses shut down across the province, and like, over 4,600 people lost their jobs. That's a major L.

These workers are saying they didn't even get the maximum severance they were owed, and that they didn't get basic protections, either. They're demanding that the Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity meet with them and actually do something to ensure they get justice, jobs, and, like, basic human dignity.

And here's where it gets extra spicy: they're also talking about how Amazon allegedly profits from subcontracting to companies where workers face wage theft and, like, super unstable working conditions. Meanwhile, the main Amazon warehouse in Montreal is still closed. Shady, right?
