TL:DR

For real? These three just got snagged by the SQ after turning the Champlain Bridge into a real life version of GTA. Blazed past the limit, tried to ditch the cops, crashed into a wall, then tried to leg it. Cops found heat and lock-picking tools in the whip. Now they're facing charges. Two of them are nursing some boo-boos. SQ's stepping up patrols 'cause the roads been extra sus lately.

The Deets

Okay, so check it: These three young adults in their 20's were cruising on the Champlain Bridge when the SQ clocked them doing 194 km/h. Like, seriously? The driver decided to ghost the police and that's when stuff got real.

It turned into a ten-kilometer chase scene on Highway 15 North. Homie crashed the ride into a wall, and they all bailed on foot. But the SQ was on it and they all got caught, L.

But wait, there's more. When the cops checked out the abandoned car, they found two handguns and some burglary tools. So now these guys are looking at some serious charges, including illegal gun possession and something to do with breaking and entering.. Two of them got a little banged up in the crash, but nothing life-threatening, thank goodness.

The SQ's Major Crimes unit is all over this case, grilling these three for answers. And word is, the SQ is gonna be watching the highways like hawks. Apparently, road fatalities have been way up lately. During the construction holiday, there were 38 deaths on SQ-patrolled roads, which is 25 more than last year. Stay safe out there, fam!
